Welcome to my first blog! I hope that you can get inspired through real life stories and experiences.
Like a lot of people on this earth, life has given me much hardship. I used to be a victim but one day, I chose to change that and discover my true potential to inspire people through extreme physical challenges. This gave meaning to my life - to have a positive impact to my fellow beings.
Right now I’m planning to tackle my toughest challenge yet, for a worthy cause that is very close to my heart. On May 24, on the opening day of the 2024 Servus Calgary Marathon runners’ expo, I will attempt to break the Guinness World Records title for the longest time for a man to be packed in ice. I am undertaking this mission to raise awareness and support for the millions of other people around the world, including my daughter Kira, with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
After more than one year of training in Europe, Mexico and Canada, my final preparations for the world record included a test run being packed in ice for two hours on the morning of May 11 in front of The Fitness Guy gym in Calgary’s historic Inglewood neighbourhood.
I am very pleased with how this test run turned out. It was a great physical and mental challenge, but it was very manageable and I was able to recover quickly. It helped build a lot of confidence that I will be successful in beating the current ice bath world record of 4 hours and 2 minutes!
The ice bath world record attempt involves significant costs for equipment, travel, training and other expenses... which is why I NEED YOUR HELP!
